The Computer Science Department has an intake of 60 students annually. The department infrastructure includes four new state-of-the-art laboratories, well equipped with computer presentation tools and equipment, large screen projectors and with accommodation for multiple computer platforms. In addition, there is a common computer laboratory in the building, which houses a set of Window workstations.

The department has highly qualified faculty members. Our curriculum places equal emphasis on theory, practice and experimental Computer Science and Engineering ranging across the entire spectrum of Computer Science. Our teachers are encouraged to carry out Research and Development activities and some pursue higher studies including Ph. Ds. The department of Computer Science and Engineering has been certified by CISCO as the Early Adopter for its new course (CCNA V4.0) curriculum. The department has also established the Pearson VUE Authorised Test Centre for Global Certification Tests.

We conduct seminars on different advanced areas of Computer Science by corporate professionals and research guides from across the globe. We have Sun Club and IBM COE (Centre of Excellence) to expose the students to advanced technology, and to prepare them for corporate work. We are looking forward to open Students’ Chapters with IEEE and ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education).
